About Us

About us

BeeLieve is an ambitious four-year initiative funded by Erasmus+, dedicated to revolutionizing apiculture education and promoting sustainable beekeeping practices across Europe.

Recognizing the vital role of bees in our ecosystems and the challenges facing apiculture today, the project aims to equip the next generation of beekeepers and apiculture professionals with cutting-edge knowledge, skills, and tools.

BeeLieve brings together a consortium of 20 committed partners from diverse regions—Poland, Bulgaria, Italy, Slovenia, and Greece—each contributing unique expertise and insights to strengthen the apiculture sector. These partners, including universities, vocational training centers, industry associations, and research institutions, are united in their goal to create a robust, resilient future for European beekeeping.

At the heart of BeeLieve’s mission is the establishment of Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) dedicated specifically to apiculture. These CoVEs will act as dynamic hubs for vocational training, where education meets industry in a practical, hands-on environment. By fostering collaboration between educators, students, and industry experts, BeeLieve’s CoVEs bridge the gap between traditional beekeeping knowledge and the latest advancements in sustainable practices, hive management, and digital innovation.

Through this project, BeeLieve strives not only to enhance the skills and employability of apiculture professionals but also to support environmental sustainability and biodiversity across Europe.

Objectives

The BeeLieve project is driven by three core objectives:

Sustainability

Foster eco-friendly practices in apiculture by promoting organic beekeeping and biodiversity conservation.

Skill Development

Equip participants with the latest knowledge and hands-on training in beekeeping, business, and digital skills to meet the needs of the industry.

Innovation & Research

Engage in applied research to advance hive management techniques, bee health, and the integration of digital tools.

Approach

The BeeLieve project will establish CoVEs in strategic locations within partner countries. These centers will act as hubs for practical, industry-aligned learning and research.
